形態特徵

Small Trees; branches glabrous, terete.
Leaves coriaceous, oblong or elongated-oblong, 5–9 cm long, 2.5–3.5 cm wide, apex obtuse, acute or acuminate with rounded tip, base acute or obtuse, margins slightly crenate-serrate, revolute, midrib slightly impressed above, elevated beneath; petioles 1–1.2 cm long.
Flowers axillary, paired or rarely solitary; pedicels 1–1.2 cm long, glabrous; bracts 2, deciduous; sepals 5, subequal, ovate, 2–3 mm long, apex obtuse; petals 5, imbricate, rounded, 3–3.5 mm in diameter; stamens numerous, unequal, 2-seriate, anthers oblong, or elliptic, hispid, 0.5 mm long; ovary conical, 2-seriate, glabrous, styles 2 mm long, bifid at apex.
Fruit a berry, oblong, 7 mm long, 4 mm, glabrous.

分布

台灣 : in the northern and central parts of the island at medium and high altitudes (13,00–2,700 m).
